I tried to entice stinkydog out of the water by throwing a smaller stick, but stinkydog wouldn't fetch it. Evidently stinkydog was tired to death of doing doggy-paddle in the waves. At last I managed to get stinkydog far enough out of the tide with the stick. Stinkydog was extremely water-logged, and wasn't in very good repair. We're not sure how old stinkydog was nor how long stinkydog had been dead. Oh yes, it was quite apparent that stinkydog no longer had any life in it at all. I don't even think stinkydog had any foreign life in it either, like maggots or otherwise.
